A message from Charmayne Lane, the college principal

Welcome to Peranbin Primary College, the school of choice for four rural communities. Ours is an excellent multi-campus college that combines the happy and nurturing experience of the small community school with the rich and varied academic and cultural provision which larger schools are able to offer.

At Peranbin we are focused on high expectations. We believe that our students deserve a high quality education and that we provide one that is the equal of any urban school. At the same time, our students enjoy a healthy and friendly, country environment, with room to move and highly individualised learning in small, multi-level classes.

We know that children need to feel safe and secure at school. Our friendly and skilled staff work hard to maintain harmonious and productive learning environments and to ensure that our students understand how to relate positively and respectfully towards others, while growing in confidence and independence.

We strive to build strong relationships between teachers, students, parents and our four communities – based on our school values.

We are an innovative school offering a diverse range of learning opportunities whilst still focussing on the strong development of literacy and numeracy skills. We are committed to delivering a comprehensive curriculum that enables the all round development of each child.

Each campus has it’s own style of buildings set in large gardens with plenty of room for active and imaginative play.

Our students are given opportunities to participate in many activities to gain leadership skills. Peranbin students generally go on to fill leadership roles in secondary school, having had so many opportunities and so much encouragement at our campuses to exercise responsibility and student leadership. Each campus has campus captains, sports captains, student representative council members and bus captains.

Parent and community participation is also greatly valued and appreciated at our school. Our campuses are at the centre of each of their four communities.

We know that children need to feel safe and secure at school. A 21st century learning environment

Students are able to use iPads, netbooks and desktop computers in every classroom, each of which is equipped with interactive whiteboards. Sophisticated video conferencing equipment is also available, which can be used to facilitate inter-class contact and lessons across campuses.
